I am a fashion designer, entrepreneur, advocate for sustainability, education and women empowerment. Since my childhood, I always had an innate passion for the Arts. I decided to grow my skills by completing a degree in Fine Arts and specializing in painting from the University of Jordan. Additionally, I pursued a degree in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martin’s in London, UK and refined my knowledge at the Institut Villa Pierrefeu in Montreux, Switzerland. Later, I was given a fortunate opportunity to intern at the Atelier of the renowned and talented designer Abed Mahfouz in Beirut, Lebanon. I worked on his collection in the Alta Roma Fashion Week and designed my first wedding dress. In 2012, Mahfouz and I partnered up and opened a fashion house in Amman, Jordan. Accordingly, my experiences had shaped and nurtured my creative spirit and assisted me in gaining the skills and knowledge needed to achieve my goals. Consequently, I became the Founder/ Owner/Fashion Designer at Boutique De Mode, 2011-2018, and created sustainable fashion through starting my environmentally sustainable business Énorm @enormworld. I believe that although designing is my career, it is also like blood flowing in my veins and without it, I will not feel alive.
أنا مصمِّمة أزياء ورياديَّة أعمال، ومناصرة للاستدامة، وتعليم المرأة وتمكينها. منذ طفولتي، كان لديَّ دائمًا شغفٌ فطريٌّ نحو الفنون. لذا قرَّرتُ أن أنمِّيَ مهاراتي بإكمال شهادتي في الفنون الجميلة والاختصاص في الرَّسم من الجامعة الأردنيَّة. إضافةً إلى ذلك، أكملت دراستي في الأزياء في ‘‘سنترال سانت مارتن’’ في لندن، وصقلتُ معرفتي في معهد ‘‘ڤيلا بييرفو’’ في مونترو، سويسرا. لاحقًا، أُتيحَت لي فرصةُ التدرُّب في ‘‘أتيلييه’’ مع المصمِّم الشهير والموهوب عبد محفوظ في بيروت. عملتُ على مجموعته في أسبوع الموضة في روما، وصمَّمتُ أوَّل فستان زفاف. وفي عام ٢٠١٢م، تشاركتُ ومحفوظ في افتتاح دار أزياء في عمَّان. وبناء على ذلك، شكَّلتْ تجارِبي روحي الإبداعيَّة، وساعدَتْني في اكتساب المهارات والمعرفة اللازمة لتحقيق أهدافي. من ثَمَّ، أصبحت مؤسِّسة ومالكة ومصمِّمة أزياء في ‘‘بوتيك دي مود’’ ما بين عامَي ٢٠١١ و٢٠١٨م، وصمَّمتُ أزياءً مستَدامة بالعمل على ‘‘إنورم’’ في إنورمورلد المستدام بيئيًّا. ‘‘أرى أنَّ التصميم ليس فقط عملي، بل هو أيضًا كالدم المتدفِّق في عروقي. فدونَه لن أشعرَ بأنِّي على قيد الحياة’’.
From our Gothic Collection, a piece that bends the norms and unites masculinity and femininity. Each fabric sewn into this look was made to build on the gothic and mysterious look that gives woman power. A bridal dress that reminds the woman of her strength as she walks down the aisle. With crepe, tulle, embroidery, and crystals, this piece still manages to portray strength with its sleeves and elegance from the waist down.
