A Jordanian architect, teacher and a designer who came to Amman after graduating from the Lebanese American University of Beirut. A passionate designer who started her brand in 2017 when she thought that she doesn’t belong behind a desk and a screen, she decided to quit and open new doors where she can explore her real passion. So she dedicated her free time to create and produce different minimalistic and classic products designed with a modern twist using her element and material: wood. Labiba’s products could fit well in any home and complete an owner’s house-ware starting from their kitchen to the bedroom. She started with her famous unique cutting or serving boards, she made sure that each collection got at least 10 different pieces with unique touch and she focused on the story of the board rather than the mass production, so each board has a story to tell from its naturally treated organic wood which is handpicked, hand-treated and hand-carved allowing the character of the piece to come out. Labiba’s way of combining the minimalistic modern style to the vintage handmade artifact gives way to unique products whilst admiring their natural aspect. Recently, Labiba added a line of handmade clay products, pottery and art pieces, she said “During the pandemic, I felt distance from my artwork in the process I decided I need to work with something that would bring me close to my art work again and to my clients” using her prior knowledge and sense of design to create unique art pieces. Labiba’s vision and goal grew over the years, she is aiming to make her brand the place where you can find uniqueness in each piece that you purchase and a story that is maybe not written but felt.
مهندسة معماريَّة ومعلِّمة ومصمِّمة أردنيَّة. أتت لبيبة إلى عمَّان بعد تخرُّجها من الجامعة اللبنانيَّة الأميركيَّة في بيروت. وبصفتها مصمِّمةً ملآنةً بالشَّغف، بدأت علامتها التجاريَّة عام 2017م عندما أدركت أنَّ الجلوس خلف مكتب وشاشة لا يُلائمها. قرَّرت تَرْك عملها وفتْح أبوابٍ جديدة حيث يمكنها استكشاف شغفها الحقيقيّ. وهنا كرَّست وقتَ فراغها لتصميم منتجاتٍ مختلفةٍ بسيطةٍ وكلاسيكيَّةٍ وإنتاجها، وذلك بلمسةٍ عصريَّة باستخدام الخشب. يمكن أن تتلاءمَ منتجاتها جيِّدًا مع أيِّ منزل، وتكمل الأدوات المنزليَّة للمالك بدءًا من المطبخ إلى غرفة النوم. بدأت لبيبة بألواح التقطيع أو التقديم الشهيرة الخاصة بها، وتأكَّدت من حصول كلِّ مجموعةٍ على 10 قطع مختلفة على الأقلِّ بلمسةٍ فريدةٍ تركِّز على قصَّة اللوحة بدلَ الإنتاج الضخم، لذا فإنَّ لكلِّ لوحةٍ قصَّةً ترويها خشبها العضوي المعالج معالجةً طبيعيَّة، والذي ينتَقى بعناية ويُعالَج ويُنحتُ يدويًّا ما يسمحُ بإخراج طابع القطعة. طريقة لبيبة في الجمع ما بين الطراز الحديث البسيط والقطع الأثريَّة المصنوعة يدويًّا، فتحت الطريقَ أمامَ منتجاتٍ فريدةٍ مع الإعجاب بطابعها الطبيعيّ. وأضافت في الآونة الأخيرة مجموعة من منتجات الطين المصنوعة يدويًّا، والفخار والقطع الفنِّيَّة. وفي أثناء تفشِّي جائحة كورونا، شعرت بأنها بعيدة عن أعمالها الفنِّيَّة، لذلك رأت حاجَتها إلى العمل مع شيء من شأنه أن يُقرِّبُها من عملها الفنِّيِّ وعملائها ثانيةً، وذلك بالاستعانة بمعرفتها السابقة وشعورها بالتصميم لإنشاء قطع فنِّيَّة فريدةٍ من نَوعها. نمّت رؤيتها وهدفها على مرِّ السنين، وهي تهدف إلى جَعْل علامتها التجاريَّة المكان الذي يمكنك أن تجد فيه التميُّز في كلِّ قطعةٍ تشتريها، وقصَّة ربما لم تُكتَب لكنَّها محسوسة.
