Growing up I always felt that I couldn’t express myself externally with the way I dressed due to the lack of options in the fashion industry that related to who I am, but yet expressed my personality. That’s when it hit me that there’s a gap in the industry that I aspire to fill. I wanted to make sure that I created fashion items that allow women of all sizes, colors, and races to feel expressive and aligned with who they are internally. That’s how my journey in fashion started. I got my Fashion Design degree in London. Since 2011, when I first launched my label, I have committed myself to hundreds of clients. My highly requested custom-made dresses are a representation of both the client’s liking and my sophisticated yet edgy style. My goal is to create unique pieces for each customer, which means tailoring the pieces, both literally and metaphorically, to make customers feel special and comfortable in their own skin. When designing, I express a range of tastes that compliment my deep understanding of fabrics and pattern cutting. From simple daytime pieces to extravagant bridal gowns, I continue to dedicate myself to work that inspires.
في أثناء نشأتي، شعرتُ على الدَّوام بأنِّي لا أستطيع التعبير عن نفسي خارجيًّا في تنسيق ملابسي. ويرجعُ هذا إلى محدوديَّة الخيارات المتاحة في مجال الأزياء. شعرتُ بأنَّ هذا مرتبطٌ بشخصيَّتي. ورغم ذلك، فقد تمكَّنتُ من التعبير عنها. حينَها أدركْتُ الفجوةَ الماثلةَ في مجال تصميم الأزياء والتي أطمح إلى جَسرِها. أردت التيقُّن بأنِّي أصنعُ الأزياء التي تسمحُ للنساء من جميع المقاسات والألوان والأجناس بالتعبير عمَّا تبدو عليه ذواتهنَّ من الداخل، وتتماشى مع شخصياتهنَّ وما يشعرن به. هكذا بدأتْ رحلتي في عالم الموضة وتصميم الأزياء. حصلتُ على شهادة في تخصُّص تصميم الأزياء من لندن في عام ٢٠١١م. وعندما أطلقتُ علامتي التجاريَّة أوَّل مرَّة، ألزمتُ نفسي تُجاهَ عقودٍ مع مئات العملاء. فساتيني المصنوعة حسب الطلب تمثِّلُ مزيجًا ممَّا تحبُّه عميلاتي، وأسلوبي الراقي وغير التقليديّ. هدفي هو ابتكار قطعٍ فريدةٍ من نوعها لكل عميلة، ويعني هذا خياطةَ القطع بطابع فريد، يجعلُ عميلاتي يشعرنَ بالتميُّز والراحة. عندما أصمِّم، أعبِّر عن مجموعةٍ من الأذواق المختلفة، والتي تزيد من فهمي العميق للأقمشة وأسالي القصِّ المختلفة. من تصميم القطع التي تُلبس نهارًا إلى تصميم فساتين الزفاف الفاخرة، أستمرُّ في تكريس نفسي لابتكار عملٍ يُلهِمُ الآخرين.
This dress was from the spring collection and the reason it stands out is because it symbolizes spring hence, it’s the only colored dress in this collection. The leaves at the top were laser cut inspired by the trees, and the fringe on the skirt represent grass fields swaying in the wind during the season. I’ve added birds in order to embody the whole experience of spring. Wearing it should make you feel like you’ve just entered March 20th.
